This score describes a knowledge-based best estimate of the protein expression in the annotated cell types as not detected (n), low (l), medium (m) or high (h). It is a result of stringent evaluation of immunohistochemical staining pattern, RNA data from internal and external sources and available protein/gene characterization data. Gastrointestinal tract, uterine glands, kidney, gall bladder, smooth muscle, epididymis and mucinous cells in salivary glands showed moderate to strong cytoplasmic staining with distinct extracellular positivity. Remaining normal tissues were mainly negative.
Most normal tissues showed weak to moderate cytoplasmic and/or nuclear staining. Placental decidual cells showed strong membranous positivity while strong cytoplasmic and membranous staining was observed in kidney. Parietal cells in stomach showed strong cytoplasmic positivity. Liver, cells in seminiferus ducts, lymphoid tissues, neuronal and glial cells were generally negative. Basement membrane and endothelial cells were distinctly stained in several tissues.
Weak to moderate cytoplasmic staining was observed in most normal tissues. Basement membranes in several glandular epithelia were distinctly stained. Plasma and endothelial cells showed strong positivity. Cells in CNS were mainly negative.
