The RNA section presents data from RNA sequencing of the three cell lines U-2 OS, A-431 and U-251 MG. RPKM values (number of reads per kilobase gene model and million reads) are used to estimate the expression of each gene in each of the cell lines. The RNA abundance in each of the three cell lines is reported as high, medium, low or not detected. The combined result from the three cell lines is used to classify the gene into five different categories: similar (max two-fold change between the cell lines), substantially changed (at least four-fold change between two or more pairs of cell lines), slightly changed (at least two-fold change between two or more cell lines), cell-type specific (only detected in one cell type), and not detected (not detected in any cell line). More detailed information about the method and annotation can be found here.
