Normal pancreas showing the expression of amylase (AMY1A) in the exocrine compartment of pancreas.

Amylase (AMY1A) - Marker for salivary gland and pancreas

Amylases are a group of enzymes that catalyze dietary starch into glycogen. There are several human amylase genes, and multiple splice forms. A common feature is that are all highly expressed in the salivary gland and/or pancreas.

Show AMY1A in the protein atlas.
