Squamous epithelia and urothelial cells displayed strong cytoplasmic and nuclear positivity while weak to moderate cytoplasmic staining was observed in gastro-intestinal tract and in lymphoid tissues. The remaining normal tissues were basically negative.
Most squamous cell carcinomas and many cases of urothelial cancers exhibited strong cytoplasmic immunoreactivity. A few cases of melanomas, gliomas and lymphomas showed moderate to strong staining. The rest of the tumors were mainly negative.
