Moderate cytoplasmic positivity was observed in most normal and malignant tissues. Airway epithelium, trophoblasts, a fraction of cells in the gastrointestinal tract and basal epithelial cells demonstrated strong cytoplasmic staining. Membranous expression was seen in a few tissues, for example, epididymis, placenta and adrenal gland. Cells in the CNS were negative. Cytoplasmic immunoreactivity of moderate to strong intensity was observed in malignant gliomas. A majority of the cases in malignant lymphomas, breast, prostate and ovarian cancers were negative.
