Normal and malignant tissues generally showed moderate cytoplasmic staining. Alveolar macrophages, the adrenal gland, renal tubules, placenta and leydig cells displayed strong, often granular, cytoplasmic staining. Cervix, Purkinje cells and reaction center cells of the lymph node were negative or weakly stained. Prostate cancers, malignant melanomas, and carcinoids exhibited moderate to strong cytoplasmic staining. Several cancers were negative in a majority of cases e.g. colorectal, testicular, cervical and pancreatic cancers.
