Normal tissues displayed moderate cytoplasmic and/or membranous and occasional nuclear positivity. Strong membranous staining was seen in gastro-intestinal tract while lymphoid tissues showed strong cytoplasmic positivity. Neuronal tissues were weakly stained or negative.
Malignant tissues exhibited similar staining properties as normal cells, mainly moderate cytoplasmic and membranous immunoreactivity with an additional nuclear staining in some cases. Many testicular cancers showed strong cytoplasmic and membranous staining. Many renal and ovarian cancers were weakly stained or negative.
