This score describes a knowledge-based best estimate of the protein expression in the annotated cell types as not detected (n), low (l), medium (m) or high (h). It is a result of stringent evaluation of immunohistochemical staining pattern, RNA data from internal and external sources and available protein/gene characterization data. Most normal tissues showed weak to moderate cytoplasmic positivity. Alveolar cells, pancreatic islet, renal glomeruli, fallopian tubes, most lymphoid cells and myocytes were in general negative. Placenta displayed strong immunoreactivity.
Most normal tissues displayed weak to moderate nuclear and/or cytoplasmic positivity. Additional membranous staining was observed in intestinal tract, kidney, fallopian tubes and endometrial glands. Stomach and adrenal cortex exhibited strong cytoplasmic staining while strong nuclear positivity was observed in primary spermatocytes of seminiferous ducts. Lymphoid tissues and smooth muscle were negative.
Most of the normal cells showed moderate to strong cytoplasmic immunoreactivity. Germinal reaction center cells of lymphoid tissues, skeletal muscle cells and glial cells were weakly stained or negative.
